C+A Design Signs Baton of Hope Workplace Pledge

Share

We’re proud to announce that C+A Design has signed the Workplace Pledge with Baton of Hope UK, reinforcing our commitment to mental health and wellbeing.

What is the Workplace Pledge?

The Pledge, created by Baton of Hope UK, calls on organisations to:

• Challenge the stigma around mental health

• Raise awareness of suicide

• Improve interventions and save lives

• Make suicide prevention a workplace priority

By taking this pledge, businesses also provide financial support that enables Baton of Hope to deliver school workshops, giving children vital suicide prevention and mental health knowledge from an early age.

We are signing this pledge to align with World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, a global event uniting communities to prevent suicide. With over 6,000 deaths by suicide each year in the UK alone, urgent action is needed to create safer, more supportive environments for all.

At C+A Design, our culture is rooted in compassion and support. Signing this pledge signals to our team, clients, and community that mental health is a priority.

Our Managing Director, Adam Slade, explains:

“Signing the Baton of Hope Workplace Pledge is a deeply personal commitment for me. Having lost a close family member to suicide, I know firsthand the devastating impact it has on loved ones. At C+A Design, we want to foster a culture where conversations about mental health are open, compassionate, and free from stigma. By joining this initiative, we are taking an active step to ensure our workplace is one where wellbeing is prioritised and nobody feels they have to struggle alone.”

In the months ahead, we will continue to roll out training, raise awareness, and build a safe and supportive environment for our team - while helping Baton of Hope extend its vital work into schools and communities.
